We decided on Thursday to travel on Saturday, and stayed 2 nights at Castle Garden. Quite honestly, by the time we booked it was one of only a few places in our price range with vacancies, but we got lucky!! Bruce turned out to be an excellent host, very laid back, helpful, and considerate. We stayed in the West Loft, a small but comfortable room upstairs. Bruce served us breakfast both mornings we were there and is an excellent cook. In addition to serving the food, he also stayed around to talk to us, asked how our night went, and offered suggestions for things to do or places to eat. We came away from there feeling like we had made a friend! Thanks Bruce, we'll definitely be back!
Spur of the moment trip, but we landed a winner! Scott A, Trip Advisor
If you’re looking for a relaxing and cozy spot to stay that is right by the historic district then this is the place! The location is great. But the best thing about our trip was our host Bruce! What a lovely person! Made us feel like family. And his pancakes are amazing! Will be back for sure!!!
We loved it here!! Amy F, Trip Advisor
Location was perfect to walk everywhere, Bruce is an amazing host, and the historical building and its character were perfect for our stay. We stayed in the Royal Majestic Carriage Room which has a private entrance and jetted tub/bathroom. It's the largest room which was plenty for the two of us. Free Parking and Wifi, another big bonus. Thanks again Bruce!
