ROOM INFORMATION

Sitting Room
Relax in one of two 19th century Queen Anne chairs or on the Victorian love seat acquired from the Sisters of St. Joseph at the Cathedral Basilica Catholic Church of St. Augustine in 1991. Select a book from the art and craft old desk library sculpted out of veneer. Or sit in the antique 1888 rocker glider, but don’t fall asleep. There is too much of historic St. Augustine to see. A piano hides in the northwest corner begging to be played. Of course glossy wood grained heartland pine line the floors layered with 10 coats of polyurethane and covered with bowling alley wax.

 

  



Dining Room
Front and center is a mahogany table out of the 1900’s surrounded by chairs with hand crocheted seat bottoms, a knight in armor is on the north wall guarding against Menendez armies, intruders, Mother Nature, or the 21st century. Adjacent to the knight is a plank bottom spinning wheel, a primitive sewing machine. A 19th century oak viva-tonal grafonola crafted by Columbia of England (a predecessor to the phonograph), upon which rests Isabel de Inglaterra Siglo the XVI, a once domineering Queen of England. An oak sideboard is in the southwest corner holding glasses and cups of years gone by. An ancient mahogany buffet has the task of storing napkins, table cloths and linens within its bowels, and a silver tea service rests upon its top. Finally, a musical harp chair stands at attention ready to seat another weary traveler drawn by the scents emanating from the kitchen.

Cancellation Policies

Seven days prior to arrival: $25.00 handling charge.
